Buttermilk Scones

Just whipped up these bad boys: buttermilk scones, made using my own homemade butter and buttermilk!!! Tasty AF and there’s something kind of satisfying knowing I made it all myself. INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • pinch salt
  • 50g butter
  • 1 cup or just under buttermilk

METHOD

Preheat oven to 220 C.  Sift flour and salt into a bowl.  Grate in butter and then rub until mixture resembles crumbs.

Make a well in the centre,  pour in the milk and mix with a knife until just combined to a soft dough.

Tip dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a rectangle.  Cut into shapes and place on a cold tray.

Bake for 13-15 minutes until golden.
